Meet Mike Webb

2025 Florence First Citizen

Mike Webb has called Florence home since 1988, when he moved to the community to manage the local Sprouse-Reitz store, located where Dollar Tree stands today. What began as a career opportunity quickly became a lifelong commitment to the community he and his family are proud to call home.

Mike and his wife raised their two children in Florence. Both are proud Siuslaw High School graduates who have gone on to accomplish great things.

Professionally, Mike has spent more than 27 years with Oregon Pacific Bank, where he has built a reputation not simply as a banker, but as a trusted partner to Florence’s small business community. Throughout his career, he has helped countless local businesses grow and succeed. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike played a pivotal role in securing Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans that helped preserve more than 1,000 local jobs.

For nearly four decades, Mike has combined his professional career with an extraordinary commitment to public service. Some highlights of his community service include:

  • Florence Rotary Club: More than 10 years as a member and a Past President.

  • Florence Urban Renewal Agency: Served on the board since its inception in 2007 and currently serves as Chair.

  • Western Lane Ambulance District/Western Lane Fire & EMS: First elected to the board in 2005 and currently serves as Chair.

  • Siuslaw National Forest Advisory Committee: Served since 2020, providing advice and recommendations on funding and projects benefiting the Siuslaw National Forest under Title II of the Secure Rural Schools Act.

Mike has also been deeply involved with Siuslaw Vision, the Siuslaw Youth Soccer Association, and the Kiwanis Club of Florence, where he has served twice as President.

His decades of commitment to Florence were recognized in 2025 when Mike was honored as Florence First Citizen — an award recognizing exemplary citizenship, service, and dedication to the community.

Stepping up to continue serving our community

In 2024, Mike was appointed to the Florence City Council to fill a vacant seat. He stepped into the role ready to do what he has done throughout his career and adult life: serve his community.

Now, Mike is running for a full term on the Florence City Council to continue that service and keep working for the community he has called home for nearly four decades.
