Use Taxpayer Dollars Wisely
City government should be efficient, accountable, and focused on delivering the best possible services for taxpayers. We must continually look for ways to improve efficiency at every level and make the most of every dollar.

Strengthen Public Safety
Our police officers need the funding, staffing, training, and tools necessary to effectively and efficiently do the job we ask of them. Keeping Florence safe must remain a fundamental responsibility of city government.

Attract Businesses & Family-Wage Jobs
Mike is committed to strengthening Florence’s business climate and making our community attractive to new and growing businesses—particularly businesses that create family-wage jobs and long-term opportunities for local residents.

Expand Workforce Housing
A strong community needs housing that working families can afford. We must find practical ways to increase the supply of affordable workforce housing so people who work in Florence can afford to live here.

Address Old Town Parking
Florence’s Old Town is an important part of our community and local economy. We need to explore practical solutions to increase available parking and make it easier for residents, visitors, and businesses to enjoy and access the district.

Invest in Essential Infrastructure
Florence must continue to provide and maintain quality roads, reliable water systems, and dependable sewer infrastructure. These essential services are the foundation of a healthy, growing community.

Strengthen Tourism Year-Round
Tourism is a critical part of Florence’s economy, and we can do more to support local businesses during the shoulder seasons. By making Florence more attractive for conventions, conferences, festivals, and other events, we can bring more visitors to town throughout the year.
